THE ROLE
The Design department is the epicentre of our DNA and influences every part of our brand. We play a key role in setting the tone and direction of the brand visually, commercially and ensure that our customers receive the product they desire.
Product Development is responsible for releasing Designs vision of product within the financial, seasonal and logistical framework of the brand’s sourcing base.
WHAT WILL I BE DOING?
- Manage the day to day product development of the RTW collection
- Coordinating Samples and ensuring they are logged and passed to correct teams and set up for presentations
- Chasing prices from vendors, ensuring the buying team have full visibility for negotiations
- Working with Design and Production on bulk approvals
- Working with the design team, sourcing new trims, hardware and materials
- Ensuring development critical path is followed and all samples arrive on time
- Help designers in creating teach packs and ensuring product information is accurate and correct up to production stage
- Following and working closely with European and Far East suppliers
- Attend fit meetings and collection reviews regarding RTW
- Updating the bill of materials sheets from pronto stage onwards
- Working to ensure all fabric, times and spec sheets are sent out for SMS
- Monthly monitoring of expenditures and maintaining of sampling budget
- Striving to ensure all fabrics/trims/processes etc are sustainable
WHAT SKILLS DO I NEED FOR THE ROLE?
- Solid experience in a similar role
- Technical or Design qualifications / education preferred
- Knowledge of vertical retailing would be advantageous
- Strong Retail numerical acumen
- Computer literate –basic office suite. Experience working in a PLM system is preferred
- Ability to travel
