THE ROLE
We have a super exciting opportunity to join our PR & Marketing team as a Communications Assistant. The PR team is the communication hub of our brand. In this role you will support the team in maximizing the brands exposure, securing strong coverage across editorials, product placements, news and digital. You will manage samples, support with events and remain up to date on UK media outlets, print and digital. This is a hands-on role and requires someone with a can do attitude. You will be passionate about what you do and will be able to demonstrate a genuine interest in the fashion industry. You’ll have a natural flair for building relationships with key influencers and media outlets.
ABOUT THE TEAM
In this role you will be based at our iconic East London Studios and will report into the Head of PR & Marketing.
WHAT WILL I BE DOING?
- Help to secure print and digital coverage for womenswear, menswear and accessories collections through press requests
- Help manage sample trafficking and coordinating samples for editorial requests
- Manage samples and all storage spaces
- Good pitching skills
- Help with media mail outs and news blasts
- Help organise monthly coverage reports, keep internal Google + updated with all relevant PR news
- Proactively work with the collections and celebrity placements to pitch focus products and generate product and news stories placements keeping UK, US and EU media engaged with the brand
- Support global teams, including Asia with sample, media and image requests
- Follow industry trends and movements to keep the brand on target and relevant within the UK market
- Support talent dressing and gifting initiatives
- Help organise seasonal press days and other brand events
- Collate and keep a record of all press coverage
- Collaborate closely with external PR agencies to align global sample flow, coordinate press launches, and maximise regional media coverage
- Liaise with internal departments and international offices on a daily basis
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR (SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS)
- Experience with press relations and interacting with online platforms / communities
- Proven experience of working with PR and social media strategies
- Excellent English writing skills
- A fantastic storyteller & great brand ambassador
- Excellent project running skills with ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Enthusiastic team player who can work proactively to secure coverage and increase brand visibility
- Ideally a network of blogger relationships, fashion assistants and stylists
- A confident, proactive, can do attitude. Happy to get involved no matter the task with a positive stance
- A true collaborator, with the ability to get involved in tasks at all levels
- Ambitious, with lots of motivation and always looking for ways to improve
