As the business continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Project Surveyor to play a key role in developing customer relationships, securing new opportunities and supporting the successful delivery of projects across the West Midlands region. The Role
We are looking for someone who understands scaffolding commercially and technically, enjoys working with customers and is motivated by winning work and helping projects succeed. You will be involved from the earliest stages of an opportunity, meeting customers, developing solutions, preparing quotations and helping secure projects. Once projects are won, you will remain closely involved, ensuring a smooth handover to our operational teams and maintaining strong customer relationships throughout. The role offers a high level of autonomy and responsibility, making it ideal for an experienced scaffolding professional looking to take ownership of their projects, develop new business opportunities and make a visible impact within a growing company. The successful candidate is likely to have:
- Previous experience within the scaffolding industry in a surveying, estimating, contracts, project management or business development role.
- A strong understanding of the construction market across Birmingham and the wider West Midlands region.
- An established network of contacts with main contractors, developers and construction professionals operating within the Birmingham market.
- Experience identifying, developing and securing new business opportunities.
- A proven track record of winning work and growing customer relationships.
- Experience preparing quotations, pricing work and developing practical scaffolding solutions.
- The ability to interpret drawings, specifications and construction programmes.
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify opportunities to increase turnover and profitability.
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills, with the confidence to engage with decision‑makers across all levels of the construction industry.
- Knowledge of current scaffolding regulations, industry best practice and health and safety requirements.
- The ability to work independently, manage a regional territory and take ownership of business development activity.
- A full UK driving licence.
Why this role is different
We are looking for someone who can grow Allsafe Scaffolding's presence within Birmingham and the wider West Midlands, developing relationships with contractors, identifying opportunities and helping to secure projects from enquiry through to award. Whilst based from our Banbury office, a significant part of the role will involve regular travel across Birmingham and the surrounding areas, meeting customers, attending sites and building a strong local presence within the market.
