The Opportunity
Our client, a well-established business based in Stoke-on-Trent, is looking to recruit an experienced FLT Driver / General Operative to join their busy operation. This is a varied, hands-on position combining FLT driving with general operative duties, making it ideal for someone who enjoys a role where no two shifts are quite the same.
The Role
- Operating a Forklift Truck safely and efficiently
- Loading, unloading and moving materials around the site
- Transporting stock and materials to designated areas
- Carrying out general operative and production duties
- Manual handling and movement of materials where required
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
- Completing basic checks and following site procedures
- Working closely with colleagues to ensure daily operational targets are achieved
- Adhering to all company Health & Safety procedures
About You
- Has previous experience operating a Forklift Truck
- Holds a valid FLT licence/certificate
- Is comfortable carrying out general operative duties alongside FLT work
- Is reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team
- Has a good understanding of workplace Health & Safety
- Is physically comfortable with a hands-on role
- Is flexible and able to work a rotating days, noons and nights shift pattern
