About the role

We have a unique and rewarding role that combines passion with fun. Imagine spending your weekends exploring the latest and greatest cafes - now, picture doing that as your job! Based out of our Manchester Hub, this role offers the chance to travel as we expand our customer base across the North of the UK. As a Senior member of our Business Development team, you’ll immerse yourself in our industry leading coffee offering and wholesale support.

We’re seeking a candidate with enthusiasm and drive to prospect new business opportunities, from cafes to grocery stores, maintaining an up-to-date sales pipeline. You’ll also qualify and convert incoming inquiries, representing Allpress and our values. Customer relationships are central to our offering. You’ll visit clients around the North, helping them enhance their coffee offering. Our customers range from small, owner‑operated businesses to larger, multi‑site operations, so adaptability is crucial. You’ll build rapport with business owners and collaborate with our team to forge long‑term, meaningful partnerships.

As a brand ambassador for Allpress, you’ll work closely with our Events and Brand team to generate leads and connect with businesses that share our passion for quality coffee. This dynamic role is ideal for someone who values collaboration and teamwork while being self‑motivated and capable of working independently. A passion for coffee and the hospitality industry is essential, along with senior‑level sales experience. As this role is focused on our Northern territories, there will be a large amount of travel required. This means a full clean driving licence and confidence in driving are a must.

About you

  • Experience working in Sales - 1‑2 years
  • Self‑motivated to seek out and win new business
  • Passionate about speciality coffee and an interest in the barista/cafe market
  • Ability to build rapport with people and bring a strong network of hospitality businesses
  • Highly developed communication skills
  • Genuinely enjoy interacting with people from all walks of life
  • Ability to navigate challenging conversations
  • Exceptional organisational skills and ability to multitask
  • Ability to travel long distances, comfortable driving and a full clean driving licence
  • Must be based in Manchester or surrounding area

Details:

  • Hours: 5 days per week around 40 hours per week.
  • Salary: £35,000‑36,000 - based on experience
  • Days: Monday ‑ Friday
  • Times: Most of the team work between 9‑5 but this can be flexible to work around you.
  • Location: Hybrid - Office in Manchester, Working from home and out on the road
  • Reporting to: Head of Business Development UK
  • Experience: A love for hospitality and the coffee industry is required plus previous experience in sales is essential for the role.
