We’ve been roasting speciality coffee for over 30 years. From humble beginnings as a little coffee cart in Auckland, NZ, Allpress has evolved into a sophisticated brand that stands for flavour and service. Right from the start three core principles have formed the backbone of our business – People, Flavour and Innovation. We are united in our genuine care for each other, our customers, and our belief in what we do. We need great people who will bring their imagination, skills and most importantly, their passion to our business.
About the role
Our customers can’t provide our amazing coffee without the right machinery (premium hand-crafted espresso machines to be exact). That’s where you come in! Combining your love for coffee and passion for problem-solving and customer service, you will help our customers get excited about their beautiful equipment and be there in times of need. Strong lateral thinking and troubleshooting skills are essential for this role. We are looking for somebody who has a passion for coffee and has ideally worked with a coffee machine before. Alternatively, if you have an electrical/engineering background and are mechanically minded and love nothing more than fixing what’s broken, this could be for you. Excellent time management and a head for admin are also a must.
No two days will be the same as you travel out to visit our awesome customers in cafes all over the UK. For this reason, a full driver’s licence and a willingness to travel is essential and some weekend hours will be required. We offer a 7 day a week service to our customers and on occasion need to attend to emergencies out of hours (pre 9am, post 5pm and weekends). The team take this in turns to be 'on-call' and we provide additional remuneration to be on-call.
About you
- Excellent communication skills
- Genuinely enjoy interacting with people from all walks of life
- A passion for problem solving
- Exceptional time management and a head for admin
- Self-motivated
- Good eye for detail
Details:
- Hours: 5 days per week around 40 hours per week.
- Days: Monday - Friday. Weekend working is required on occasion.
- Times: Normally 9-5 unless 'on call'.
- Salary: £33,000-35,000 plus on call and overtime (salary is dependant on experience)
- Probation period: 3 months
- Reporting to: National Technical Manager
- Experience: A love for hospitality and the coffee industry is required. No previous technical experience is required but would be very beneficial, some work with coffee machinery is essential.
- Additional: A full clear driving license is essential; the successful candidate will feel comfortable driving a van in London and long distances.
This is a fantastic opportunity for somebody who already has hospitality experience and is looking to further their career in the coffee industry. We offer full training, great staff perks, a competitive salary, career development and a great company culture.
