About the role. We’re looking for a supportive, people-focused Assistant Manager to help drive the growth of our new cafe in Farringdon. In this role, your purpose is to work closely with the General Manager - supporting them day to day and helping translate the cafe’s vision and growth goals into reality. You’ll play a key part in ensuring the team feels confident, supported and set up to succeed.
A key part of your role will be ensuring that the coffee program set by our Head of Coffee is fully understood, adhered to and consistently implemented in daily service. You’ll support the team in maintaining excellence in coffee preparation, workflow and quality control. You will also bring dependable operational experience, helping to deliver a smooth launch, maintain effective systems and uphold high standards across service, quality and team wellbeing. You lead with care, curiosity and adaptability, approaching challenges with a willingness to learn and find solutions that keep the cafe moving forward. Details:
- Hours: 5 days per week around 40 hours per week.
- Days: Monday – Sunday, weekend essential
- Times: Our space is open from 7.30am - 4pm Mon to Fri and 9am - 4pm on weekends.
- Probation period: 3 months
- Reporting to: Cafe General Manager
- Salary: £32,000 depending on experience, negotiable + Tips.
- Experience: Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced team; specialty coffee experience is an advantage.
