About the role.
We are looking for energetic and highly motivated hospitality professionals to join our new Farringdon Café team as a Front of House Barista. Here at Allpress we have an uncompromising commitment to great tasting coffee, flavour and service. We care deeply about our customers, and strive to deliver a consistent & distinctive customer experience that is unique to the Allpress brand.
When you work with us as a Front of House Barista, you’re not just selling and preparing great coffee in our café, you are a brand ambassador for our wholesale business that stretches across London, Europe and the Middle East. As a Front of House Barista your priority will be exceptional customer service, great coffee and an overall fantastic attention to detail.
Responsibilities will include:
- To uphold Allpress brand standards at all times in a flexible and adaptive manner to ensure that all drinks are being prepared and served to the expected quality.
- Delivering genuine and efficient service to each and every customer.
- Advising on and selling retail coffee, Allpress merchandise and equipment.
- Running food & drinks.
- Opening and closing the café.
- Demonstrate flexibility and initiative by stepping in wherever needed to ensure the smooth operation of the café, including supporting food preparation and assisting with team coordination.
Details:
- Hours: 5 shifts per week, 38 hours a week
- Days: Weekend availability is essential
- Hourly rate: £14.80
- Times: The café is open between 7.30 - 4.30 Mon-Fri and 9-4 on Saturdays and Sundays.
- Probation period: 3 months
- Reporting to: Farringdon Café General Manager
Experience: Our ideal candidate will have experience in a high-volume coffee/hospitality environment; some experience in speciality coffee would be beneficial.
