The predicted salary is between 40000 - 50000 Β£ per year.

We have an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Fitter to join our global client on a permanent basis. This position will report to the Mechanical Supervisor and Shift Manager.

  • Repair of mechanical breakdowns throughout the plant.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment as required.
  • Identify and report any signs of equipment failure.
  • Ensure all documentation is kept up to date.
  • Install and commission equipment and services as requested and maintain good engineering and housekeeping procedures in all work areas.
  • Work carried out in accordance with permit to work code of practice.
  • Assist with other engineering work when and where required as directed by the Mechanical Supervisor.

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum City & Guilds/ONC level in a mechanical discipline.
  • Full 4-year apprenticeship completed.
  • Industrial maintenance experience preferred.
  • A strong health and safety awareness and the ability to work unsupervised.
  • We would prefer someone from a Production or Manufacturing background who has worked on Mechanical Industrial equipment.
