We have an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Fitter to join our global client on a perm basis. This position will report to the Mechanical Supervisor and Shift Manager.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Repair of mechanical breakdowns throughout the plant
  • Carry out preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment as required
  • Identify and report any signs of equipment failure
  • Ensure all documentation is kept up to date
  • Install and commission equipment and services as requested
  • Maintain good engineering and housekeeping procedures in all work areas
  • Work carried out in accordance with permit to work code of practice
  • Assist with other engineering work when and where required as directed by Mechanical Supervisor

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum City & Guilds/ONC level in a mechanical discipline
  • Full 4-year apprenticeship completed
  • Industrial maintenance experience preferred
  • A strong health and safety awareness and the ability to work unsupervised
  • We would prefer someone from a Production or Manufacturing background who has worked on Mechanical Industrial equipment
