We have an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Fitter to join our global client on a permanent basis. This position will report to the Mechanical Supervisor and Shift Manager.
- Repair of mechanical breakdowns throughout the plant.
- Carry out preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment as required.
- Identify and report any signs of equipment failure.
- Ensure all documentation is kept up to date.
- Install and commission equipment and services as requested.
- Maintain good engineering and housekeeping procedures in all work areas.
- Work carried out in accordance with permit to work code of practice.
- Assist with other engineering work when and where required as directed by the Mechanical Supervisor.
Essential Requirements:
- Minimum City & Guilds/ONC level in a mechanical discipline.
- Full 4-year apprenticeship completed.
- Industrial maintenance experience preferred.
- A strong health and safety awareness and the ability to work unsupervised.
We would prefer someone from a Production or Manufacturing background who has worked on Mechanical Industrial equipment.
