Carriages is based in the heart of Herefordshire, and is a unique restaurant experience. Our aim is to showcase the many ingredients Herefordshire has to offer. We deliver a unique experience to all our guests. We have a fantastic opportunity for a Waiter/Waitress to join our Front of House Hospitality Team. The role is based on our Hereford site at Whitestone. You will join a friendly, professional and dedicated team, who pride themselves on delivering the highest standards of customer service.

Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, you will provide a high-quality level of customer service ensuring all front of house activities and environments are maintained to the highest of standards. You will use your communication skills and friendly demeanour to help customers understand all options available and provide insights that will ensure customers return again and again.

Within this role you will:

  • Deliver a seamless and attentive dining experience to guests
  • Manage a section with confidence and precision
  • Demonstrate product knowledge, including food, wine, and allergens
  • Work closely with the kitchen and front of house team to ensure service excellence
  • Uphold high standards of presentation, cleanliness, and professionalism.

This role offers 26 hours per week, worked in line with the rota, with the ability to cover the main core services Thursday & Friday evenings 4pm-11pm, Saturday 11am-11pm and Sunday 10am-5pm. There may also be the opportunity for additional hours, depending on the requirements of the rota and business needs.

  • Remains calm, polished and professional under pressure
  • Is flexible to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
