We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site Security Manager to oversee and lead all security operations at our allpay site in Hereford. As the Site Security Manager, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and managing all security measures to ensure the safety of the site, personnel, assets, and operations. You will lead a small team of security personnel with a 24/7 on-site presence and liaise with internal departments and external agencies to maintain a secure and compliant environment. allpay operates a high secure site and complies with strict PCI regulations.
In this role you will:
- Lead on all physical security design and implementation, securing the whole site to the highest standard.
- Manage security measures, overseeing sophisticated access control systems, surveillance equipment, and alarm systems.
- Actively manage all security related suppliers and contractors ensuring they deliver excellent service and value for money as well as maintaining strict compliance with PCI regulations at all times.
- Lead and manage the security team managing a 24/7 rota.
- Respond to incidents and coordinate with emergency services when required.
- Actively manage security related projects with clearly defined timescales and appropriate stakeholder engagement.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, standards and company policies.
- Perform security inspections and regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulations and best practice.
- Provide support and guidance on security standards, regulations and best practice to the entire workforce.
- Ensure appropriate records are maintained to the highest standards.
- Be a key member of the HSE Forum, working with other managers to ensure the safety and security of everyone across the site.
- Be a key member of the joint security forum, working with the cyber security manager and information security manager to ensure wide reaching security policies are aligned across the business.
- Support the Head of Estates in managing suppliers in the maintenance and upgrades of systems, building business cases and strategic plans as and when required.
This role is an active hands-on role, typically providing a high visibility presence to all employees and visitors to allpay.
Requirements for the role:
- Proven experience in security management, preferably in a site-based role.
- Previous extensive experience with CCTV, alarm systems, and access control technologies.
- Previous experience of personally and actively managing the performance of suppliers, holding regular supplier reviews, holding them to account over contractual obligations.
- Health & Safety qualification e.g. IOSH or NEBOSH is an advantage.
- Appropriate qualifications and memberships for a security role, preferably trained to licensed SIA level.
- Proven experience of leadership and team management skills.
- Proven effective communication skills, both verbally and written and to be able to confidentially influence colleagues and managers.
- Proven ability to resolve conflict and possess decision making skills.
- Knowledge of UK security laws and regulations.
- Experience of event management is desirable.
- Flexibility with hours of work and weekends.
