We are now recruiting for a Production Operative to join our Manufacturing Team - the role is based at Whitestone in our Hereford Site. The working pattern for this role is 7.5 hours per day, working Monday to Friday and includes an early start or a late finish, generally between 06:30 am and 09:30 pm. Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, in this role you will join a professional and dedicated team who pride themselves on delivering high quality goods on time.
You will learn and follow all manufacturing and finishing procedures relevant to the role including completion of all audit paperwork. As a Production Operative you will work closely with your team members, carrying out functions including screen making, printing, collation, lamination, punching, QC checking, sig panelling, hologramming and chip embedding. Some of your duties will include:
- Loading jobs to production machinery and functional operation of the equipment to ensure quality of final product is always retained.
- Accurate completion of all paperwork and job sheets related to the production of goods with minimal supervision.
- Recording and reporting of equipment issues to the Senior Production Operative.
- Adherence to all pay procedures, accreditations, and standards in all areas, including procedures covering but not limited to Quality Control, Security, Auditing and processing of goods in the department.
Knowledge and background of working in a production or manufacturing environment will be an advantage, but it is not essential. You will receive full training, and there is a clear progression route and support available to become an Intermediate, and then Senior Production Operative. To be successful in the role, as our ideal candidate you will have the following attributes and skills:
- You will be curious and keen to learn and develop new skills.
- You will work collaboratively and communicate well with other team members/managers to resolve issues.
- You will have good Literacy and Numeracy skills, as well as IT skills to an intermediate standard or equivalent in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and pressure.
- You will be organised and aware of the importance of good housekeeping procedures.
- You will have the ability to adapt to changing situations.
