We are now recruiting for a Logistics Assistant to join our Logistics Team. The role is based in our Herefordshire Office and is a fixed term contract for 6 months. Reporting to the Warehouse & Logistics Manager, in this role you will assist in all logistic procedures, stock movements, stock holding and value via Management Information tools. Hours of work will be 8:30am - 4:30pm Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.

As Logistics Administrator, some of your key duties will include:

  • Booking of external shipments of goods via shipping providers.
  • Assisting with stock taking and reporting.
  • Daily replenishment of production department stock requirements.
  • Management of return cards.
  • Warehouse cover when needed.
  • Following goods handling procedures for receipt and despatch of items.

This role will require the individual to be flexible and cover all areas of the department and will involve shift cover with different hours being a requirement. There will also be a requirement to support in other departments as and when required so the post holder will need to be flexible.

For this role you will need the following:

  • Previous experience of working in a logistics environment is preferable.
  • Demonstrable computer literacy utilising Microsoft Office packages or equivalent.
  • Proven organisational skills along with effective communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work as part of a team to ensure smooth operations throughout the department.
  • Experience of working to deadlines effectively.
  • Forklift Licence preferred but not essential as training can be provided.
  • Ability to be flexible to cover shift hours as and when requested.
