We are now looking for a Junior Contracts and Commercial Officer to join our Contracts and Commercial Team. Our mission is to provide comprehensive contractual coverage to all our clients, mitigating risks and safeguarding the interests of our business.
In your role as Junior Contracts and Commercial Officer, you will join a professional, dedicated, and friendly team, responsible for securing and managing contracts, maintaining accurate pricing data, and driving revenue growth through strategic initiatives. You will be responsible for supporting the team in drafting and sending contractual documents to clients, assisting in the process until a signed contract is secured.
Alongside your day-to-day workload, the Contracts Team undertakes significant projects that have a direct impact on our business's revenue. You will support the team with key initiatives involving major pricing increases, Royal Mail postage increases, and interchange rate revisions affecting Debit and Credit card fees.
Some of your other key responsibilities will include:
- Assist with the management of client pricing across multiple databases, including P42, Sage, Interchange, and various internal spreadsheets.
- Support with monitoring clients’ performance ensuring we are charging in line with relevant transaction volumes.
- Efficiently contribute to the processing and management of contract renewals, extensions, and addendums.
- Continuously learn and develop your skills to act as a reliable source of information, consulting and advising relevant internal departments.
As our ideal candidate, above all, you will act with integrity and attention to detail. You will be curious enough to constantly learn about the business, provide and look for ways in how the processes can be improved. You will work collaboratively, and evidence your communication skills to be able to effectively negotiate, advise, and build business relationships both company-wide and with external organisations and stakeholders. You will demonstrate your agility to adapt to changing situations and ability to work independently and meet deadlines. You will be an efficient user of Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and Outlook. In addition, an ability to quickly learn and use in-house systems will be essential. Preferably you will be educated to A level standard, with a minimum of GCSE level (or equivalent) qualifications in English and Maths. Your knowledge of payment products will be an advantage.
