Company Overview

Alloyed is a young venture-funded company built with world-class metallurgists, mechanical engineers, technicians, and software developers. Operating from our HQ in the UK but also globally, we are building the future of advanced metal components. Our innovative approach integrates proprietary software that combines advanced machine learning and physical modelling with extensive experimental facilities, enabling us to 3D print metal components more efficiently and effectively than anyone else.

Our facilities in Yarnton and Abingdon, near Oxford, are dedicated to establishing the world’s fastest, smartest, and best-equipped environment for the rapid development of additively manufactured parts and the creation of novel metal alloys for enhanced performance. We serve a variety of sectors including electronics, aerospace, and industrial by leveraging our cutting-edge technology to build businesses across diverse markets, each with unique requirements, timelines, customers, and cultures.

Role Overview

Argive, a division of Alloyed, is currently designing microturbine engines for a range of jet propulsion applications. The system architecture is simple, with outer diameters ranging between 60-240 mm. The products use additive manufacturing to increase performance compared to state-of-the-art, incorporating complex designs and proprietary high-temperature materials, including nickel superalloys. The engines also have a consolidated part count and can be manufactured and scaled cost-competitively in the UK on Alloyed’s assets.

Argive is seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Integration Engineer to take ownership of the documentation and technical activities required to integrate our engines into customer platforms. You will be the technical authority responsible for ensuring that operational activities at test facilities and customer sites are executed flawlessly, acting as the bridge between Argive’s engineering teams and the platforms into which our engines are installed. This is a highly cross-functional, hands-on role that combines technical authoring, on-site leadership, customer engagement, and close collaboration with design and manufacturing. You will report to the Head of Testing and be based mainly at Alloyed’s site in Yarnton, but travel to other testing sites local to Oxford is required, and from time to time you will support activities at other facilities in the UK, and abroad. A highly competitive remuneration package is offered, including equity incentives.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full suite of integration documentation (ICDs, installation manuals, commissioning procedures, operational handbooks), translating engineering intent into clear, traceable content.
  • Maintain documentation under robust configuration control, keeping requirements, interfaces, and acceptance criteria aligned with engine development cycles.
  • Lead integration, commissioning, and testing at external test facilities and customer sites delivered flawlessly, safely, and to schedule.
  • Plan and coordinate on-site campaigns end-to-end, from readiness reviews through execution to post-test reporting.
  • Ensure full compliance with health & safety, operational, and quality requirements on-site.
  • Support customers across the integration lifecycle, from interface definitions through to installation and commissioning.
  • Provide technical guidance on installation, operation, and handling, capturing feedback to inform future development.
  • Represent Argive with professionalism and technical credibility in customer meetings and reviews.
  • Work closely with design, manufacturing, and production to ensure integration requirements are designed in across the product.
  • Feed lessons learned back into engineering and manufacturing to drive continuous improvement.
  • Help shape Argive’s integration capability—processes, tooling, and team structure—as the division scales.

Essential Skills

  • Proven track record in integration of complex hardware systems, within propulsion, aerospace, defence, automotive powertrain, or another comparable high-performance engineering environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to author and maintain high-quality technical documentation—interface control documents, installation and commissioning procedures, test plans, and operational manuals.
  • Proven experience leading commissioning, integration, or test campaigns at internal facilities and/or customer sites.
  • Excellent stakeholder and customer-facing skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly to engineers, operators, and senior stakeholders.
  • A deep understanding of configuration control, requirements management, and the quality and safety expectations of a regulated engineering environment.
  • A hands-on, solutions-focused mindset.

Desired Skills

  • Experience working in customer sites, interacting side-to-side with other external engineering teams.
  • Exposure in working in a fast-moving environment, with involvement across multiple departments and disciplines.
  • Deep understanding of integration challenges across mechanical, electrical, and software domains.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and best practices for integration and commissioning in aerospace or automotive sectors.
