Allocator One Group is a global investing platform redefining how institutional capital reaches private markets. We operate through two synergistic businesses: Allocator One backs exceptional first- and second-time fund managers around the world as an anchor investor, effectively acting as "seed-investor + platform" for emerging VC funds. Infra One, our fund-ops and tech arm, provides the regulatory, administrative, and tech infrastructure that allows those new funds to scale rapidly and globally. We are already live and serving customers in the UK, US, Austria, Germany and launching Singapore, India and Luxembourg imminently. Together, we deliver both the capital and the structure fund managers need and in doing so build a global ecosystem of platforms, people, and ideas that reshape private markets.

Why this role is different: Unlike an advisory firm role, you will have end-to-end ownership of a real fund platform - seeing transactions from structuring through to LP reporting. You will work directly with investment and finance teams, help build the tax function from the ground up, and have meaningful exposure to four jurisdictions and a rapidly growing investor base. This is a role for someone who wants to go deep on fund taxation rather than broad across multiple client mandates.

This is a senior individual contributor role covering the full international tax compliance coordination for our fund platform across all four jurisdictions - the United Kingdom, the United States, Austria and Germany. While your core expertise and primary ownership sits in the UK and US tax landscape, you will coordinate external tax advisors across all jurisdictions, act as the internal tax expert for our finance and investment teams, and ensure seamless, timely compliance across the entire platform. This is not a tax return preparation role. You coordinate, review, challenge and ensure delivery by external advisors - and you bring the expertise to know when something is right or wrong.

Tasks

  • UK & US (primary ownership): Own the end-to-end tax compliance process for all UK and US fund structures, including UK Limited Partnerships, LLPs and US LLC vehicles. Coordinate external UK and US tax advisors; prepare documentation packages and critically review their output. Manage UK partnership tax filings (SA800), corporation tax (CT600) and investor tax reporting schedules; coordinate US tax filings (Form 1065, K-1, K-3). Coordinate ERS reporting obligations, including Section 431 elections and annual HMRC filings. Prepare and review investor tax letters for UK and US LPs. Monitor and advise on UK carried interest regime developments (post-April 2026 income tax treatment) and implications for fund structures and carry recipients.
  • Austria & Germany (coordination and oversight): Coordinate external tax advisors in Austria and Germany; prepare documentation packages and review output. Monitor and track Austrian and German compliance deadlines (OeKB publication, German tax filings). Serve as the internal point of contact for Austrian and German tax matters, escalating technical issues to external advisors and flagging risks to management. Coordinate investor tax reporting for Austrian and German fund structures, including tax letters and LP reporting schedules.
  • Across all jurisdictions: Build, maintain and own the global tax compliance calendar across all funds, vehicles and jurisdictions. Advise the accounting team on tax aspects of complex transactions including portfolio company dividends, distributions, exits and restructurings - in plain business language. Support CRS/FATCA compliance coordination across all fund structures. Handle ad hoc tax queries from LPs, management and other stakeholders - with the ability to explain complex tax matters clearly and practically. Coordinate international tax structuring projects alongside external advisors.

Requirements

  • Must have: Degree in Tax, Law, Accounting or Finance. 5 - 8 years of experience in a Big Four firm or specialised tax advisory practice, with a clear focus on UK fund or partnership taxation. Deep expertise in UK Limited Partnership and LLP taxation, including partnership tax returns (SA800) and investor reporting schedules. Experience with transparent partnership structures used as investment vehicles - including carried interest, waterfall mechanics and LP reporting. Solid grounding in international tax law: tax treaties, withholding taxes, ATAD, CFC principles, cross-border dividend and distribution flows. Experience working with international investors (institutional LPs, family offices, etc.) and preparing investor-facing tax communications. Ability to explain complex tax matters in plain business language - to non-tax colleagues, investors and management. Pragmatic, structured approach to work; strong project management and prioritisation skills. Fluent English at professional level - written and spoken. Strong accounting awareness.
  • Nice to have: ACA / CTA qualification (or equivalent). Experience with US partnership tax (Form 1065, K-1, K-3). Working knowledge of CRS/FATCA reporting obligations (Model 1/2, Form 8966). Familiarity with German or Austrian fund structures (GmbH & Co. KG). German language skills - highly valued given our AT/DE fund base. Experience with ERS reporting and Section 431 elections.

Benefits

  • Senior individual contributor role with direct exposure to a fast-growing international fund platform.
  • Full remote working flexibility - UK, US, Austria or Germany based.
  • Direct reporting line to Head of Fund Finance with close collaboration with senior management and investment team.
  • Competitive compensation.
  • Opportunity to shape the in-house tax function of a platform at an exciting stage of growth.

Why Allocator One Group:

  • Ownership: Design the entire fund accounting system from scratch. Your architecture will serve 20+, 50+ funds.
  • Team building: Hire and mentor fund accountants and treasury specialists as the platform grows.
  • Learning curve: Exposure to global fund structures, cross-jurisdictional tax, and institutional investor reporting.
  • Strategic impact: Fund accounting data directly informs investment committee decisions and platform risk management.
  • Equity upside: Early-stage role with meaningful equity; directly tied to platform success.
