The primary focus of a Business Analyst is to understand how the customer's business operates so that the most appropriate solution can be presented. The Business Analyst will be required to capture the customer's requirements, identify any functional gaps and present a solution through either existing functionality or identification of new product features. They will work with the client through all of the project lifecycle including but not limited to initial engagement, options appraisal, test strategy, training, system activation and go live criteria.
This role requires individuals to interact effectively with others, demonstrating the capability to build positive customer relationships that can be translated into new business opportunities. Therefore, there is a requirement to build collaborative relationships within the customer organisation during the analysis and delivery phase.
Key Responsibilities- Relationship building: It is essential that the Business Analyst builds an excellent matrix of relationships within the wider Allocate organisation. Engage with customer operational leads to develop a lead into a viable business. Ensures customer satisfaction during project delivery.
- Services Product Lead: Ensure consistent delivery of projects on agreed Delivery product lines. Capture feedback from customers on existing products and ideas for enhancements or new products.
- Engagement and communication: Engage with all internal stakeholders, including Technical Consultants, Project Managers, Development teams, Cloud teams and Support teams to successfully deliver projects to customers. Deliver presentations and product demonstrations, across HealthSuite products as required. Engage with customer stakeholders across all departments involved in the implementation to ensure consistent delivery according to the agreed project plan. Work effectively with the business to quickly learn the process, culture, and relationships. Ability to effectively communicate with the end user community within the client organisation. Ability to deal with difficult situations in a customer facing context.
- Analysis: Conduct requirements analysis sessions, product training workshops, test planning workshops, solution outline workshops and go live delivery workshops. Manage the solution delivery through design, integration, and rollout of the product working coherently with all internal team members of the project. Review As-Is processes and be able to develop, document, map and recommend To-Be processes based on customer requirements and best practices. Work with customers to satisfy IT requirements that pertain to solution deployment including infrastructure and software services. Work with technical consultants to document solution requirements & highlight exceptions. Present project updates to the client, especially senior users, throughout the project lifecycle. Author and distribute weekly project reports.
- Reporting: Report on the progress of projects to the Senior Services Team, maintain and update project reporting, checkpoints and financial reporting to the agreed timescales. Ensure the Senior Project Services Team are informed of any new developments (technical or political) taking place with the client which may be relevant to Allocate and might be an escalation to the project or to the account.
- Product and Solution Delivery: Ensure timeline delivery of client projects across portfolio of products. Deliver successful knowledge transfer to customer project and system teams through structured training sessions and workshops. Experience working directly with clients and taking the lead in meetings such as requirements gathering sessions. Manage and execute project deliverables & manage risk and issues.
- Administration: Effectively and accurately forecast activities, revenue and utilisation based on assigned project work across a 9-week forecasting period minimum or as directed by the Senior Services Team. Effectively and diligently conduct or participate in weekly project review or progress calls. Produce and communicate Weekly Project Highlight Reports. Update and maintain project issues (log), risk dashboards & milestones on the Services Health Assure Dashboard or through other means, as agreed with the Senior Services Team as appropriate.
- Experience of proven business analysis work.
- Experience of implementing software solutions on customer sites.
- Good understanding of business process analysis techniques including PESTLE, MOST, SWOT, MoSCoW.
- Advanced competency in the use of Microsoft Visio and Project.
- Advanced competency in the use of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- A basic understanding of the AGILE methodology.
- Strong communication skills to facilitate clear, concise communication to internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong communication and written skills to capture and articulate complex technical concepts into easily understandable messages for different audiences.
- Proven customer facing skills through previous project activities.
- Self-starter able to run with tasks on their own.
