This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and ambitious individual to start their career in site management with Allison Homes. As a Trainee Assistant Site Manager, you will work alongside experienced Construction teams to learn, develop, and contribute to the successful delivery of new homes in line with a structured build programme.

You will receive a structured in-house training programme, along with support in achieving a relevant qualification, including day-release study where necessary. This role provides direct exposure to site management responsibilities, mentoring from senior staff, and regular progress reviews to support your development. In return, we require you to be eager to learn, proactive, and committed to progressing in your career.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work alongside the Site Manager to plan and coordinate temporary and permanent site set-ups/compounds.
  • Manage and support a build programme, ensuring that homes are delivered on schedule and to a consistently high standard.
  • Assist in the selection and procurement of the supply chain, conducting cost reviews and implementing required actions.
  • Support in managing directly employed staff and subcontractors to achieve production objectives.
  • Be prepared to take on responsibility when deputising for the Site Manager.
  • Take control of your own learning and development, actively participating in training opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and site quality standards.
  • Gain a strong understanding of commercial aspects, cost control, and site logistics.
  • Maintain excellent communication with suppliers, contractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations

What you will bring

  • Some industry-specific experience is advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong commercial awareness and excellent organisational skills.
  • Great communicator, self-motivated, and customer focused.
  • A minimum of four GCSEs at grade 4 or above, plus a minimum Level 3 qualification (A-Level or equivalent).
  • Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
  • Interest in construction, with a commitment to achieving a degree-level qualification.
  • IT literate, with the ability to work with construction-related software and digital tools.
  • Willingness to learn, be curious, and take responsibility for your development.
