We are offering a fantastic opportunity for someone to join the support function of the Group Finance team, based at our Group office in Peterborough. This role will report to the Group Forecasting Planning & Analysis Manager.

As a Group Forecasting Planning & Analysis Analyst, you will create an active partnership with both operations and management. You will be expected to provide support and insightful analysis to add value and drive business decisions, deliver information in a clear manner at an appropriate level using a good mix of analytical, commercial and communication skills. The role will be a mixture of standard reports on a weekly and monthly basis with supporting region on bespoke analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Production of management information for a range of internal customers, adding insightful analysis to drive business decision making
  • Produce weekly and monthly management information packs to a highly professional standard
  • Providing both regular and ad-hoc reporting and analysis to highlight trends and drive performance
  • Drive use of existing management information within the business and the efficiency of production
  • Develop reporting in line with market trends and business needs
  • To champion a culture of process improvement and assist with the execution of change programmes
  • Deliver excellent service to internal customers both inside and outside the finance function
  • Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested

What you will bring

  • Part-qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA or studying towards a professional qualification
  • Housebuilding industry experience is desirable but not necessary
  • 2+ Years of experience of working in the FP&A team or similar
  • Analytical and have an ability to draw insight from large and complex data sets
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, enabling effective communication at all levels
  • Good understanding of financial statements and the relationship between P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow.
  • Good analytical background with excellent Excel skills
  • Comfortable challenging and being challenged
  • Self-confidence, decisive, resilience and ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Independent and able to operate autonomously
