This is a key site-based leadership role responsible for managing the day-to-day construction activities on one of our new housing developments in the Central region. The Senior Site Manager will ensure homes are delivered safely, on time, to budget and to the high standards Allison Homes are known for. This role is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced construction professional to contribute to the success of our growing regional business.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full responsibility for the delivery of homes on a new build residential site, ensuring work is carried out safely, to programme and to specification.
- Manage, lead and motivate subcontractors, direct labour and site support staff to deliver exceptional results.
- Ensure full compliance with Allison Homes’ health and safety procedures, legislation, and NHBC requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality and compliance with building regulations and internal standards.
- Liaise closely with other departments including Commercial, Technical and Sales to ensure effective coordination and smooth project delivery.
- Attend and contribute to pre-start, progress and customer handover meetings.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date records are maintained, including daily site diaries, programme updates, H&S documentation and quality inspections.
- Maintain excellent communication with purchasers and the Sales team to ensure customer expectations are met and exceeded.
- Proactively identify and resolve any build or scheduling issues to maintain progress.
- Promote and deliver right-first-time quality and a clean, tidy and safe site at all times.
What you will bring
- Previous experience in a Site Manager role within a residential housebuilding environment.
- NVQ Level 3, 4 or 6, BTEC diploma in Building Construction or similar
- Valid SMSTS certification.
- CSCS card (Black or Gold).
- Strong understanding of NHBC requirements and current Building Regulations.
- Demonstrable ability to lead, organise and deliver housing schemes safely and efficiently.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality homes.
- Confident in managing subcontractors and direct teams across a multi-plot development.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook; familiarity with COINS is an advantage.
- First Aid at Work qualification.
- Scaffolding Awareness Certificate.
- LOLER certificate.
- Full UK driving licence.
