We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Land & Partnerships Manager or existing Head of Land & Partnerships, looking for structured and deliverable career progression, to lead the East Midlands land team and drive our land acquisition and partnership initiatives. This pivotal role will be responsible for devising and executing land acquisition and development strategies while fostering strong relationships with landowners, local authorities, registered providers, and other key stakeholders nationally. This role will play a fundamental part in securing land and partnership opportunities that align with our growth and sustainability objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the identification, negotiation, and acquisition of strategic land opportunities, ensuring commercial viability and alignment with business objectives.
- Oversee due diligence, legal, and planning processes to de-risk acquisitions and ensure a clear path to delivery.
- Develop and manage partnerships with housing associations, local authorities, and public bodies to enable mixed-tenure and land-led developments.
- Shape and deliver a regional land and partnership strategy informed by market trends, planning policy, and legislative changes.
- Build strong relationships with landowners, agents, and key stakeholders to unlock opportunities and represent the company at industry events.
- Drive financial performance by managing land budgets, optimising deal structures, and negotiating key agreements.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing land team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Significant experience in land acquisition and partnership development within the UK residential sector, ideally in the East Midlands.
- Strong commercial acumen with a track record of securing and structuring successful land and mixed-tenure deals.
- Deep knowledge of land valuation, planning policy, legal frameworks, and affordable housing delivery.
- Established network of industry contacts across landowners, local authorities, housing associations, and public bodies.
- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to mentor teams and collaborate effectively across disciplines.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- A degree in Real Estate, Land Management, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred), with a full UK driving licence.
