Job Summary
This position is responsible for underwriting a diverse book of business, employing the methods necessary to meet projected profitability, GWP, and expense goals, management and growth of the overall portfolio of the LATAM business within the appropriate underwriting discipline/guidelines, marketing and servicing of existing and potential insured’s.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform general underwriting functions including submission review, pricing analysis, setting terms and conditions, and quote/binder/invoice authorizations.
- Ensure timely and correct issuance of bound policies.
- Craft endorsement wordings for legal authorization.
- Provide direction to Underwriting Support Assistant for timely processing of policy/endorsement wordings.
- Perform referrals with VP Casualty and SVP Casualty as required.
- Maintain underwriting files and reporting systems according to guidelines.
- Consult with Actuarial Department for specific needs.
