At Allied Vehicles we design, develop, and manufacture a wide range of specialist vehicles, including wheelchair accessible vehicles, taxis, and minibuses. In addition to manufacturing vehicles, we also offer a range of aftersales services (onsite and mobile), including servicing, repairs and maintenance and we are Scotland’s largest independent parts distributor. You will provide operational support for all IT and Telecommunication systems within the company. Hours of work are Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm, based fully on-site and the salary is £33,990 per annum. Main Duties:
- Provision of both onsite, remote desktop and server support for client IT systems and networks.
- Installation configuration and support of ICT issues with laptops, desktops, mobile devices and servers.
- Provide step-by-step technical help, both written and verbal.
- Ensure the status of all tasks, escalation, documentation and servicedesk is up to date in line with the servicedesk policy.
- Microsoft Windows Server and Office 365 set up and administration.
- Maintaining networks, setup and cabling of networks.
To be effective in this role, you will have:
- Experience in a previous IT role.
- Understanding of virtualised environments (VMware).
- Experience in hardware installation and configurations.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey ideas and offer IT solutions to staff members of all levels.
- The ability to troubleshoot a variety of IT-related issues and resolve user issues.
- Previous experience of working in the automotive industry would be advantageous but is not essential.
