At Allied Vehicles we design, develop, and manufacture a wide range of specialist vehicles, including wheelchair accessible vehicles, taxis, and minibuses. In addition to manufacturing vehicles, we also offer a range of aftersales services (onsite and mobile), including servicing, repairs and maintenance and we are Scotland’s largest independent parts distributor. We are now recruiting for a Valeter to join our De-Fleet department. You will be responsible for ensuring all vehicles are cleaned, prepared, and presented to the highest standard. The role involves removing all rubbish, carrying out interior and exterior valets, maintaining cleanliness of the workshop and valet bays, and supporting efficient vehicle flow within the site. Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm and the salary is £12.98 per hour. As a Living Wage employer, this hourly rate will increase to £13.45 from 1 May 2026. The main duties of the role are:
- Ascertain job requirements from the job card/estimate.
- Complete all Company documentation.
- Clean vehicles in line with Company standards with the appropriate materials.
- Handle any customer facing situations in a professional manner.
- Take all reasonable precautions to maintain vehicles in a clean and tidy condition.
- Comply with all legislation respecting the control of hazardous substances and control of organic solvents.
To be effective in this role, you will have:
- A Full UK Driving License.
- Knowledge of safe working practices e.g. working safely with cleaning materials.
- Knowledge of driving and cleaning vehicles.
- Good attention to detail.
- Conscientious & hard working.
