We also provide aftersales services (onsite and mobile), including servicing, repairs and maintenance, and we are Scotland’s largest independent parts distributor. We are recruiting for a Quality Technician to join our Pre-Production department. You will be responsible for auditing, developing and improving the pre-production quality process and performance in line with the business objectives and roadmap.

Hours and Salary

Hours of work are Monday – Wednesday, 7am – 6pm and Thursday 7am – 5.30pm and the salary is £33,619 per annum + bonus.

Main duties

  • Develop and lead quality improvements across function.
  • Audit and implement quality improvement plans.
  • Train and install quality methodology and approach.
  • Collaborate with other staff to maintain a positive work environment.
  • First off inspection on new Pre Production components and assemblies.

To be effective in this role you will have

  • Previous experience in quality within a manufacturing environment covering inspection, process and auditing.
  • Strong understanding of engineering piece part and assembly technical drawings.
  • Quality knowledge aligned to key principles of prevention and root cause corrective action.
  • Previous experience working in a fabrication workshop is desirable but not essential.
