At Allied Vehicles we design, develop, and manufacture a wide range of specialist vehicles, including wheelchair accessible vehicles, taxis, and minibuses.

In addition to manufacturing vehicles, we also offer a range of aftersales services (onsite and mobile), including servicing, repairs and maintenance and we are Scotland’s largest independent parts distributor.

We are now recruiting for an Apprentice Panel Beater to join our Bodyshop department.

You will undertake duties in connection with Panel Beating or Paint Spraying subject to level of skill, experience and knowledge and with appropriate supervision.

Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8am – 4.30pm and the salary is £7.55 per hour.

The main duties of the role are:

  • To attend college as prescribed and subject to your traineeship arrangement, attending all in-house or manufacturer training
  • To undertake supervised duties when panel beating/fitting, paint mixing/spraying or associated activities ensuring that work is checked to provide customer satisfaction from the work carried out
  • To seek guidance/assistance from your manager where necessary
  • To ensure a consistently high level of customer care/satisfaction through the execution of your duties and in accordance with the training you have received
  • To be aware of and adhere to all health & safety regulations and policies applicable to your position of environment

To be effective in this role, you will have:

  • National 4/5 or Standard Grade Maths & English
  • Good IT skills and computer literacy
  • The ability to prioritise workload
