At Allied Vehicles we design, develop, and manufacture a wide range of specialist vehicles, including wheelchair accessible vehicles, taxis, and minibuses. In addition to manufacturing vehicles, we also offer a range of aftersales services (onsite and mobile), including servicing, repairs and maintenance and we are Scotland’s largest independent parts distributor. We are now recruiting for a nightshift Welder to join our Pre-Production department. You will manufacture and convert components by using general welding and fabrication tools and techniques. Hours of work are Monday to Wednesday, 9pm-7am and Thursday 8pm-6am and the salary is up to £21 per hour, dependant on experience. The main duties of the role are:

  • Adhere to job cards and complete all work in accordance with information provided, paying attention to the order of work and the time allowed.
  • Comply with quality control systems, methods and documentation.
  • Take all reasonable precautions to ensure all work is carried out in a manner to avoid damage to vehicles, equipment and company property.

To be effective in this role, you will have:

  • Time served or qualified welder with M.I.G. experience.
  • Previous experience of welding and fabrication of sheet metal.
  • Familiarity with weld symbols.
