At Allied Vehicles we design, develop, and manufacture a wide range of specialist vehicles, including wheelchair accessible vehicles, taxis, and minibuses. In addition to manufacturing vehicles, we also offer a range of aftersales services (onsite and mobile), including servicing, repairs and maintenance and we are Scotland’s largest independent parts distributor. We are now recruiting for a Vehicle Assembler to join our Production team. You will carry out the adaptation of various vehicles in line with the standard operating procedures. Hours of work are Monday – Wednesday, 7am-6pm and Thursday, 7am-5.30pm and the salary is £13.45 per hour + bonus. The main duties of the role are:
- To carry out vehicle modifications in line with specifications.
- Undertake manufacturing duties as specified by line manager.
- Skilfully use a wide range of air & hand tools.
- To drive vehicles in a safe, lawful manner considering the weather and traffic conditions, reporting all faults with the vehicles you drive.
- Complete all company documentation where necessary.
To be effective in this role, you will have:
- Manufacturing/Production experience.
- Ability to work to defined processes and standards.
- Previous experience using air and hand tools.
- A quality driven, can-do attitude.
