At Allied Vehicles we design, develop, and manufacture a wide range of specialist vehicles, including wheelchair accessible vehicles, taxis, and minibuses. In addition to manufacturing vehicles, we also offer a range of aftersales services (onsite and mobile), including servicing, repairs and maintenance and we are Scotland’s largest independent parts distributor. We are now recruiting for a Graduate Homologation Engineer to join our Engineering department. You will support the Homologation and Compliance teams in ensuring that converted wheelchair accessible vehicles meet all applicable regulatory and type approval requirements.

Hours of work are Monday to Thursday, with flexible start and finishing times between 7am and 6pm, totalling 37.5 hours per week and the salary is £26,227.50 per annum. This position provides an excellent opportunity to become part of a forward-thinking and dedicated company.

The main duties of the role are:

  • Assisting with regulatory documentation, testing activities, and conformity of production processes.
  • Compile, review, and archive test reports for in-house and external testing.
  • Monitor OEM vehicle type approval status and identify applicable regulatory changes.
  • Support Conformity of Production (CoP) checks, including inspection records and audit documentation.
  • Liaise with internal departments (engineering, production, quality) to support compliance activities.

To be effective in this role, you will have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering (Beng) or a related applied science.
  • Experience of working with technical data, reports, or structured datasets in a STEM environment (academic or practical).
  • Ability to prepare, analyse and interpret technical documentation and information.
