Allied Vehicles – Fix Auto Wigan are hiring for a MET Technician to join our award-winning team.

You will carry out a professional and efficient MET service to all Accident and Repair Centre (ARC) customers.

Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 7am – 4pm and the salary is up to Β£45k OTE.

  • The main duties of the role include:

  • Ascertain job requirements from the job card/estimate
  • Remove and re-fit new or repaired car body panels, including, bonnet, wings, doors, bumpers and lamps
  • Liaise with estimators, workshop controller and parts manager to ensure all parts required to effect the repair are ordered.
  • Alignment and re-fit of renewed body panels
  • Removal and re-fit of mechanical and suspension parts, including radiators, air-conditioning unit, steering and suspension components
  • Steering geometry with adjustment when necessary
  • Removal and re-fit of inner trim panels, seats and dashboard and airbag components
  • Any other task that is consistent with mechanical, electrical and trim jobs
  • To be effective in this role, you will have:

  • Previous experience as a Fitter/Stripper or Panel Beater.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills
  • A full UK Driving Licence
  • Previous experience working in a Bodyshop environment as a technician would be advantageous but is not essential.
