As a Security Officer - Roving Patrol in Darlington, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will support access control and visitor badging, respond to alarms and/or unusual activity, and provide clear communication and customer service to employees and guests. What You’ll Do
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a tech, media, and/or telecom location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to site contacts and/or public emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of offices, common areas, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter routes to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and employee or visitor traffic, assist with visitor check-in processes as assigned, and report suspicious behaviour and/or policy violations.
- Complete detailed activity logs and incident reports, communicate observations to supervisors and site stakeholders, and support security-related operations during special events and/or high-traffic periods.
Minimum Requirements
- Have 2 or more years of security-related experience.
- Be 21 or more years of age.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
- Have customer service experience preferred.
- Have access control and/or badge experience preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
