Job Description
As a Security Officer Unarmed - Processing Plant in Elgin, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more.
As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a food and beverage location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment.
You will respond to security-related concerns, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and contribute to access control and alarm response activities.

What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage production location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, docks, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate logs for deliveries, contractor access, and unusual occurrences.
- Observe conditions that may affect operations, including restricted areas, loading zones, and equipment access points, and report concerns to site management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Minimum Requirements
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
