  • How This Role Works
  • Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule.

This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.

Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites.

Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next.

It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a food and beverage production or distribution location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, exterior grounds, perimeter, parking areas, and access points to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate visitor, incident, and patrol documentation.
  • Observe food and beverage operations for unusual activity or conditions and promptly report security‑related concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
  • Minimum Requirements
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
