As a Security Officer Patrol Driving Role in Portsmouth, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license.

Pay Rate: $17.57 / Hour

Job Schedule:

  • Mon 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
  • Tue 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
  • Wed 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
  • Thu 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
  • Fri 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner while communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points, observe visitor activity, and support orderly movement throughout the location in accordance with site expectations and assigned post orders.
  • Document incidents, observations, and security-related concerns promptly and accurately, and/or escalate issues to the appropriate personnel when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
