As a Security Officer Armed Tactical Patrol in Portsmouth, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial. Join Allied Universal as an armed officer in a manufacturing and industrial location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and support daily operations with strong communication and customer service. Pay Rate: $17.95 / Hour

Job Schedule: Day Time: Mon 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM, Fri 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM, Sat 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM, Sun 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical calls, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and local responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout production areas, warehouses, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity, potential hazards, and/or security-related concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, screen vehicles and/or deliveries when required, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Support Allied Universal and site leadership by preparing clear reports, maintaining required armed post readiness, and following all applicable post orders, use-of-force guidelines, and security-related procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card and/or license as required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
