We are seeking a professional and reliable Class 2 Hiab Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a flatbed lorry equipped with a Hiab crane, delivering goods efficiently and safely across various locations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers with a focus on commercial driving and delivery services. Duties

  • Safely operate a Class 2 flatbed lorry fitted with a Hiab crane to load and unload goods.
  • Conduct pre-operational checks on the vehicle and crane equipment to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Deliver goods to specified locations in a timely manner, adhering to scheduled routes and deadlines.
  • Secure loads properly to prevent movement during transit, ensuring safety for all road users.
  • Assist with the loading and unloading process as required, using the Hiab crane efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery notes and mileage logs.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations and company policies during daily operations.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding delivery schedules or issues encountered.

Requirements

  • Valid Class 2 (Category C) driving licence with relevant experience in commercial driving.
  • Proven experience operating flatbed lorries with Hiab cranes, ideally within a delivery or logistics environment.
  • Strong knowledge of safe driving practices and road regulations.
  • Experience with delivery driver duties, including handling goods safely and efficiently.
