We are seeking a skilled Painter & Decorator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying paint, varnish, and other finishes to various surfaces, ensuring high-quality results that meet client expectations. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and filling imperfections before painting or decorating
- Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other finishes with precision and care
- Use a variety of tools and equipment safely and efficiently, including brushes, rollers, spray guns, and scaffolding
- Ensure all work adheres to health and safety regulations and company standards
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding project progress and requirements
- Manage time effectively to complete projects within designated deadlines
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment throughout each project
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction painting and decorating or similar roles
- Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate travel between sites
- Good command of English language for clear communication with clients and colleagues
- Strong communication skills to interpret project specifications and provide updates effectively
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various settings
- Organised with attention to detail to ensure high-quality finishes
- Physical fitness to handle manual tasks such as lifting materials and working at heights on scaffolding or ladders
