A Large Format Finishing Operator produces high-quality signage, graphics, and display materials by operating large format printing and finishing produces high-quality signage, graphics, and display materials by operating large format printing and finishing equipment.
This role focuses on precision, efficiency, and quality—ensuring every project is accurately finished, inspected, and ready for delivery in a fast-paced print manufacturing environment.
- What You’ll Do
- Support sign making, and sign production, including finishing graphics for display, signage, and branded materials.
- Record time and materials accurately in the shop floor data system.
- CNC cutting and routering of large format graphics and signage components using Kongsberg cutting tables.
- Laminate, cut, trim, and package printed materials according to job specifications.
- Seam, sew and grommet vinyl banners to conform to production specifications.
- Inspect finished prints for defects, color accuracy, and clarity, making adjustments as needed.
- Work with a variety of substrates including rigid materials, vinyl, and specialty media.
- Manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Troubleshoot technical or mechanical issues to minimize downtime.
- Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area to promote efficiency and safety.
- Minimize waste and maximize output through efficient press setup and material use.
- Communicate production-related issues clearly to supervisors and team members to ensure smooth workflow.
What You Bring
- Production experience in a large format printing and finishing environment (sewing, grommeting, laminating, trimming, packing).
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read, interpret, and follow detailed job tickets and production instructions.
- Keen attention to detail with a commitment to quality and color accuracy.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to record production data accurately.
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills to handle multiple priorities.
- Team-oriented mindset and clear communication skills.

Education & Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience operating large format printers or related digital printing equipment preferred.
- Ability to read a ruler.
Physical Requirements
Standing 100% of the shift | Lifting up to 50 lbs. repeatedly | Frequent bending, reaching, and handling of materials.
