Dispenser/ Trainee Dispenser
Are you looking to start or build your career in community pharmacy? Allied Pharmacy in Mountain Ash is looking for a Dispenser or Trainee Dispenser to join our friendly team and help deliver a first-class service to our local patients.
Working in a busy community pharmacy, you'll play an important part in supporting the safe and accurate dispensing of prescriptions, while providing a warm and professional experience for everyone who walks through our doors. If you're new to dispensing, we'll support you through your training so you can gain a recognised qualification and grow with us.
Key responsibilities:
- Accurately dispense prescriptions in line with standard operating procedures
- Assist the pharmacist with the day-to-day running of the dispensary
- Provide friendly, helpful advice and support to patients and customers
- Manage stock, including ordering, receiving deliveries and rotating medicines
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with confidentiality and GPhC standards
- Support the wider team to deliver NHS and private pharmacy services
What we're looking for:
- Previous experience as a Dispenser, or a genuine interest in training towards a recognised Dispensing Assistant qualification
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical, accurate approach to your work
- Excellent communication skills and a caring, patient-focused manner
- The ability to work well as part of a close-knit team in a busy environment
- Good IT skills and a willingness to learn new systems
- A reliable, professional attitude and a commitment to high standards
