This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting our patients and helping the pharmacy run smoothly day to day.
As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will be one of the first friendly faces our customers see. You'll work closely with our pharmacists and wider team to deliver a high standard of care and service to the local community.
- Greet customers warmly and provide a professional, helpful service at the counter
- Accurately dispense and label prescriptions under the supervision of the pharmacist
- Manage stock control, including ordering, receiving deliveries and rotating products
- Handle prescription queries and signpost customers to the pharmacist where appropriate
- Maintain a clean, tidy and well‑organised pharmacy environment
- Support with over‑the‑counter sales and general shop duties
- Follow all standard operating procedures and confidentiality requirements
What we're looking for
- A friendly, approachable manner with excellent customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- The ability to work well within a small, supportive team
- A willingness to learn and develop your knowledge of pharmacy practice
- Previous experience in a pharmacy or retail setting is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided
