Role Overview
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in field engineering and office technology. Full training will be provided. You will work alongside experienced engineers, learning how to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair multifunctional printers and photocopiers at customer sites. The role involves regular travel to customer premises and requires good communication skills, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior engineers with servicing and repairing multifunctional printers and photocopiers
- Learn to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and network-related faults
- Carry out preventative maintenance and routine servicing
- Install and configure office printing equipment
- Maintain accurate service records and job reports
- Manage spare parts and tools responsibly
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times
- Attend manufacturer and in-house training courses
Skills & Experience Required
- Strong interest in technology, engineering and IT
- Good problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good time management and organisation
- Basic understanding of printers, computers, or networking
- Previous technical, engineering, and customer-facing experience
- GCSEs, A levels or equivalent in Maths, English, and ICT/Engineering
