Location: Trafford Park, Manchester
Hours: 38.5 p/week - rotating shift pattern (mix of days and nights)
Work closely with a Site Operative to maintain product quality, extraction rate, plant capacity, hygiene and cleaning in mill areas.
Liaising with the Senior Miller and Engineers to co-ordinate milling and maintenance activities; identifying, analysing and rectifying any plant/process defects through regular inspections.
Flour production and blending to specification, minimising waste and remix of products.
Daily/weekly control of wheat and flour intake requirements.
Input into all performance data systems; WinCos/maximo/LIMS/BI.
Budgetary awareness and responsibility for the purchase of materials for production (exc. wheat).
Work closely with Technical to monitor quality through lab analysis.
Scheduling and documentation of planned Food/Feed Safety checks, cleaning and pest control.
Contribute to the sites Continuous Improvement Agenda identifying focus areas to improve.
Carry out Good Manufacturing Practice checks and look for improvements.
Support the call out programme.
To establish and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders including; Technical, Engineering, Distribution, Warehouse, and centrally via the MDT.
To operate to procedures as defined within site quality, environmental and health and safety systems and standards, demonstrating the ‘Safety First’ approach at all times.

Contribute to ensure all site quality, environmental and health and safety targets are met.
To support the achievement of all Manufacturing KPI’s, including:
- Flour Quality
- Production targets
- Running hours, Manufacturing efficiency, Plant utilization
The Right Person
Computer literate including Word, Excel, Outlook.
NABIM Qualified Modules 1-7.
Buhler milling qualification/Craft skills qualification or equivalent.
Knowledge of BRC & AIB Standards.
An Advanced Milling Diploma and IOSH Managing Safely are desirable.
