Allied Mills is part of Associated British Foods and operates seven modern flour milling units across three production sites in Belfast, Manchester and Tilbury. We are also one of a very limited number of businesses able to produce semolina from Durum wheat in one of our specialist mills. Allied Mills is the UK’s third largest miller and mills wheat for everything from bread to bagels, baguettes and biscuits, pasties to pastries, doughnuts, cookies, burger buns and pizzas, naan bread and chapattis, noodles and pasta. The majority of our flour goes into household bread brands such as Kingsmill soft white bread, Kingsmill 50/50, Bürgen, Allinson’s and many more.

We have a great opportunity for a Warehouse Operative to join an experienced team, providing a first-class service at our flour milling site.
Key Accountabilities:- Operate the Packing Line in accordance with operational, food/feed & safety procedures.
- Carry out warehouse and production duties (including use of fork lift truck) in accordance with operational & safety procedures.
- Carousel bagged Flour Production in accordance with Quality Systems and Standards.
- Ensure breakdown/faults are communicated to the Engineers.
- The timely and accurate completion of all paperwork relevant to quality and integrity systems.
- Effective use of WMS to ensure accurate stock control, picking & loading is achieved at all times.
- Ensure in process CCP’s checked and records maintained.
- Carry out and record, food checks and health and safety checks; reporting any issues found.
- Maintain and improve the packing and warehouse area’s cleanliness and hygiene standards; ensuring a clean as you go approach at all times.
- A great customer focus with a flexible and adaptable approach.
- Self-motivated and able to work on your own initiative, be punctual and reliable.
- Forklift licence (desirable).
- Computer literate.
- Understanding of food production would be advantageous.
- Use of Mechanical Handling Equipment, Fork Lift Trucks and Shunters where appropriate to load pallets onto vehicles safely and efficiently to ensure customer deliveries go out on time and in good condition.
- Interested in running the packing equipment to pack a target average of 300 bags per hour in accordance with the daily/weekly production plan.
