What is the Role:

We’re looking for a curious and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our Technology & Data Team. You’ll play a key role in extracting complex financial data supporting a team in delivering insights that delivers regulatory compliance and strategic decision-making across AIB, ensuring we deliver good customer outcomes.

Reporting to the UK Data MI Team lead, you will play an integral role in helping shape and deliver our customer experience strategies across AIB.

Key accountabilities:

  • Utilise advanced data transformation skills to deliver data sets to meet business requirements of identifying trends, insights and opportunities to drive customer improvements.
  • Able to manage and prioritise various ad-hoc or strategic data initiatives.
  • Use Data Extraction tools from the AIB Data Warehouse, analysing and reporting data to meet business requirements.
  • Monitor and report on key customer and regulatory metrics, ensuring data integrity and alignment with FCA and PRA regulation.
  • Support the translation of data into actionable insights and communicate key findings to senior management and committees.
  • Collaborate with UK Customer Experience teams to ensure data accuracy and integrity. This will include validating data sources, cleanse datasets, and applying robust quality checks before analysis.
  • Submit and manage data requests via the enterprise data warehouse, ensuring timely access to accurate and relevant dataset.
  • Demonstrates a comprehensive knowledge of project management principles and methodologies, including agile frameworks.
  • Responsible for maintaining Jira boards to support project management.
  • Collaborate with the data engineering team to plan, prioritise and facilitate the automation process.
  • Support with business acceptance testing / user acceptance testing during automation phase.

What you Will Bring:

  • Proven technical experience in data extraction and reporting, preferably in the financial services sector.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex data sets clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong proficiency with data tools such as SQL (mandatory), Excel (mandatory), Power BI (optional)/ Qlikview (optional).
  • Proficiency with agile tools like Jira; JQLs.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to multitask and work well under pressure and meet tight timescales whilst ensuring quality and accuracy of output.
