We are seeking a motivated and skilled Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic inpatient bank team in Perth & Kinross in Scotland. This role offers the opportunity to provide high-quality care to patients with diverse needs, helping them regain independence and improve their quality of life.

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced hospital setting, delivering evidence-based interventions tailored to the individual needs of our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities to determine their occupational needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to support rehabilitation and independence in activities of daily living (ADLs).
  • Provide therapeutic interventions, including education on adaptive strategies, use of assistive devices, and environmental modifications.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (MDTs) to ensure holistic patient care, including participation in case discussions and discharge planning.
  • Deliver patient and family education to prepare for transitions to home or other care settings.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in line with professional and organizational standards.
  • Support and mentor junior staff, students, and therapy assistants as required.
What We’re Looking For
  • Qualifications: Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration.
  • Experience: Minimum 6 months NHS paid experience, including working in an inpatient or acute care setting.
  • Skills: Strong assessment and problem-solving skills. Ability to work autonomously and prioritise a varied caseload. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of current OT practices, including discharge planning and rehabilitation pathways.
