About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic inpatient bank team in Perth & Kinross in Scotland. This role offers the opportunity to provide high-quality care to patients with diverse needs, helping them regain independence and improve their quality of life.
You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced hospital setting, delivering evidence-based interventions tailored to the individual needs of our patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities to determine their occupational needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to support rehabilitation and independence in activities of daily living (ADLs).
- Provide therapeutic interventions, including education on adaptive strategies, use of assistive devices, and environmental modifications.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (MDTs) to ensure holistic patient care, including participation in case discussions and discharge planning.
- Deliver patient and family education to prepare for transitions to home or other care settings.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in line with professional and organizational standards.
- Support and mentor junior staff, students, and therapy assistants as required.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualifications: Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration.
- Experience: Minimum 6 months NHS paid experience, including working in an inpatient or acute care setting.
- Skills: Strong assessment and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and prioritize a varied caseload.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Knowledge: Understanding of current OT practices, including discharge planning and rehabilitation pathways.

Requirements:
- You must have a minimum of 6 months paid NHS experience or similar.
- UK residency is a must.
