An excellent opportunity to join us at Allied Care Limited in a Registered Care home supporting our service users with learning disabilities and associated conditions, within a 9 bedded unit in Temple Ewell, Dover. We believe in looking after both our service users and Care Assistants, to the best of our ability. We are looking to hire committed and compassionate staff to join our friendly, professional team, whether you have experience or not. Full induction, mandatory training, and regular support and supervision are provided.
Responsibilities and Duties
Our Care Assistants support 9 adults with learning disabilities conditions in a care home environment and work on a shift pattern. Including supporting Daily living skill development, personal care, and working with some behaviors which may present as challenging.
Ashingham House is a large detached property situated in the picturesque village of Temple Ewell which is close to the coastal port of Dover; Ashingham House offers a service to adults who have been identified as having learning difficulties and may also have behaviours that challenge. The home provides twenty‑four‑hour staff support, and activities are available and planned to take into account each individual’s likes and dislikes as well as their level of abilities.
Since vulnerable people need care all the time, we do ask that you work weekends but not all, this ensures our service users always have the support required. This is a full‑time role on a 37.5 hours per week contract with the opportunity of overtime although this is not mandatory.
Driving is an advantage but not essential.
