Location: Allied Bakeries Stoke (Newcastle-under-Lyme) – site-based role supporting operational colleagues.

Hours: Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Answering employee queries and providing guidance on HR-related matters such as policies, procedures, and benefits.
  • HRIS input; processing employee changes, maintaining HR databases, starter and leavers, sick pay reporting and all related documentation.
  • Assisting with internal communications and reward and recognition schemes, ensuring noticeboards are regularly updated; supporting the site's health, wellbeing and inclusion and diversity agendas.
  • Assisting with recruitment and selection processes, including screening candidates and scheduling interviews as well as the timely administration of induction and onboarding activities.
  • Taking accurate notes during HR meetings, investigations, disciplinaries, interviews, and other employee-related meetings.

Qualifications

  • Proven HR administrative experience, ideally within a fast-paced FMCG environment.
  • Working knowledge of HRIS systems.
  • Someone who is determined and persistent with a keen eye for detail, understanding the importance of handling sensitive information confidentially.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with all levels of the organisation.
  • Basic knowledge of HR policies, employment laws, and best practices.
  • Level 3 CIPD would be advantageous, but not essential.
  • Experience within a food manufacturing environment is preferred but not essential.
