We have an excellent career opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Stoke. The role of a Maintenance Engineer is a varied and challenging one. You will be expected to identify and deliver continuous improvement initiatives alongside proactive and reactive maintenance and repairs to the plant and site services associated with a major bakery.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Focusing on safe working practices and site performance KPI’s including OEE and CCOs
  • Diagnosing and correcting automation, electrical and mechanical issues to resolve breakdown situations
  • Ensuring our engineering strategy is delivered consistently
  • Delivering turn‑key improvement projects in a timely and cost‑efficient manner
  • Driving the performance of the Engineering function forward

What We're Looking For

  • Safety always comes first at Allied Bakeries. We are looking for someone to lead by example by ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority and engage others to always think and behave safely.
  • A team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to train, coach and assist operators and other engineers
  • A Higher National Certificate (HNC) in an electrical, automation or multiskilled engineering discipline is desirable, supported by suitable experience
  • An enthusiastic and motivated individual, with a passion for continuous improvement, you will be flexible and co‑operative to meet business needs
